Two men wanted by police for alleged participation in a criminal gang were arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court today.

Corey Bald, 23, of 2327 Glenwood Ave., and Dontae Johnson, 22, of 3351 Blanchard St., were arrested Tuesday. Both are charged with participating in a criminal gang, and Mr. Johnson also is charged with obstructing official business.

They remained in the Lucas County jail after arraignment in lieu of $25,000 bond, and are scheduled to return to court on Thursday.

Police claim that both men are members of the Smith Park Mafia -- also known as the Lil Heads -- a central Toledo gang with ties to Fernwood Avenue and Smith Park.

The obstructing charge was filed against Mr. Johnson because he hid in an attic Tuesday night while police searched the house he was in, and was uncooperative with arresting officers when he was found, according to court documents.
