2 men shot in East Toledo

Two East Toledo men were reportedly shot early today near the cross sections of Greenwood Avenue and Parker Avenue, just off East Broadway Street, says Lucas County EMS dispatch. The shooting occurred at 12:42 a.m. today when an unrelated party called 911 from a apartment complex on Starr Avenue. 

One of the victims was said to have been shot once in the upper chest. Life Squad arrived on scene and transported the victim with the chest wound to University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, with what was being called a traumatic injury. The other victim was transported by private vehicle to a nearby hospital, also with what was called a serious injury.

The suspect is still at large.
