10/27/2012

ADRIAN — Crime Stoppers of Lenawee is seeking information about an incident last month involving a home invasion, sexual assault, and theft of a pickup truck on Lime Creek Highway in Lenawee County’s Medina Township,

About 11 p.m. Sept. 27, at least three masked men dressed in dark clothing forced open the front door while firing a gunshot through a window, the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The intruders tied up and blindfolded the residents — a married couple in their early 30s and their two sons, ages 5 and 8 — and ransacked the home before stealing the family’s pickup. One intruder sexually assaulted the woman, sheriff deputies said.

After the intruders left, one of the children freed himself and the rest of the family. The father called 911 about midnight.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Lenawee at at 517-266-6161 or 877-276-8477.

Crime Stoppers will pay at least $1,500 for information that leads to the arrests of those responsible.
