Authorities say a man who allegedly held up the Fifth Third Bank branch on Lagrange Street this morning returned to the bank later in the day and turned himself in.

Ahmad Golson, 31, no address available, was arrested and and was to be booked into the Lucas County jail late today after police say he returned to the bank at about 3:30 p.m. and told a teller he wanted to turn himself in for the bank robbery. Toledo police responded to the bank and transported him to the city’s safety building for questioning, where they claim he confessed.

He is charged with a third-degree felony count of robbery.

Toledo police and the FBI said a man entered the bank at 3028 Lagrange St. at 10:54 a.m. and demanded money from a teller, then fled on foot.
