2 men shot multiple times in central city

Two people were shot Thursday morning in Toledo’s central city, police said.

Robert Harris and Marquis Sturdivant-Jordan, ages unknown, were taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in a private vehicle after being shot.

A hospital spokesman had no information about either man. Police said the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Police were called to Blum and North Hawley streets at 11:23 a.m. after receiving numerous calls of shots fired. Police had been on the scene for about 20 minutes when the victims arrived at the hospital.

Witnesses said the men were shot at numerous times by someone in a maroon or burgundy vehicle.

No arrests have been made, police said.
