Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is seeking help from the public to find a man who was convicted in Lucas County of gross sexual imposition involving a girl — and for failing to verify his address and violating parole.

Larry Carlton, 29, as a habitual sex offender, is required to register his address with authorities annually for at least 20 years, a spokesman for Mr. DeWine said. Carlton was convicted in 2006 of a parole violation; in 2008 for failing to verify a current address, and in 2011 for failing to provide a change of address.

The address he last registered is in the 1400 block of Upton Avenue in Toledo.

Carlton was convicted in 2002 of gross sexual imposition.

He was described by authorities as black, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, about 180 pounds, with tattoos on his upper right arm, including the word “Tyvon” and an image of playing cards, the attorney general’s office said.

Anyone with information about Carlton’s whereabouts is asked to call the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, 855-BCI-OHIO; the U.S. Marshal’s Northern Ohio Fugitive Task Force, 866-4-WANTED, or use the text tip line, TIP411, keyword, wanted; or to call local law enforcement.

Since February, Mr. DeWine’s Crimes Against Children Initiative has sent out 27 alerts seeking information about sex offenders.
