Man shot in abdomen in critical condition
11/4/2012MONROE -- A 31-year-old man suffered a single gunshot wound to the abdomen and is in critical condition, according to Monroe police who responded at about 6:10 p.m. today to the area of East 4th Street and Kentucky Avenue after receiving information about a subject being shot.
The victim was transported to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo where he was listed in critical but stable condition, according to police.
The offender fled the scene before police arrived and is still at large, police said.
No additional information, including the name of the victim, was released.
The investigation is still in its early stages and has been turned over to the Monore Police Department's detective bureau.
