Oregon man charged with murder after Saturday night death of his father

An Oregon man was charged with murder after the death Saturday night of his father.

Oregon police said that a Life Squad arrived at a house in the 1100 block of Earlwood Avenue to find John Kutsch, 58, unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at 7:05 p.m.

Police arrested Jacob Kutsch, 21, his son, and charged him with murder. He was held Saturday night in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.

An investigation showed that there was a violent physical altercation at the house shortly before the elder Mr. Kutsch's death, police said.
