Authorities on Monday investigated a freight rail-car fire in East Toledo that took about six hours to extinguish.

There were no injuries, no evacuations, and no hazardous materials involved, according to the Toledo Fire Department.

A rail car full of paper products caught fire about 6 a.m. Monday at a crossing at East Broadway and Hirzel Street, Toledo fire Lt. Matthew Hertzfeld said. Fire crews arrived, separated the burning rail car from the rest of the train, and doused the flames.
