BOWLING GREEN -- A Michigan couple are being held in the Wood County jail after being found with hundreds of ocycodone hydrochloride pills and a small amount of marijuana during a traffic stop in Wood County.

Vincent Edge, 31, of Eastpointe, and Laricca Hicks, of Kennbec, are both charged with two counts of possession of drugs and one count of trafficking in drugs. If convicted of the crimes, they could face up to 24 years in prison and a maximum $45,000 fine.

Troopers from the Bowling Green post of the Highway Patrol said they stopped a rented 2011 Chevrolet Malibu for speeding at 8:22 p.m. Oct 5, as it traveled southbound on I-75 in Bowling Green.

Troopers reported smelling marijuana during the stop. During a search of the vehicle, they found 656 pills and approximately seven grams of marijuana.

Both suspects appeared via video in Bowling Green Municipal Court for arraignment on Tuesday. They were both ordered to be held in the jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.

They are scheduled for preliminary hearings on Nov. 14.
