MONROE — Investigators have not determined what started a Frenchtown Township fire Tuesday that killed a 75-year-old woman .
The victim was Bea Hankey, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said the fire started in her apartment on the seventh floor of Frenchtown Place Apartments, a senior living center.
Deputies were called to the complex a 1201 N. Macomb St. at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday
The first officer on scene began to remove other residents because of heavy smoke.
Officials said foul play is not suspected.
