Drug trafficking sweep in Toledo nabs 22

Toledo police arrested 22 people when 14 search warrants were served across the city Wednesday and Thursday in what police called a drug trafficking enforcement sweep, authorities said today.

Of those arrested, 12 people were arrested for alleged felony offenses and 10 for alleged misdemeanors, according to police.

During the sweep, police also seized drugs with a street value of $253,610, 38 firearms, and $123,951 in cash, police said in written statement.

The seized drugs included 1.135 kilo of cocaine with a street value of $227,000, 20 grams of China White heroin valued at $14,000, 714 grams of marijuana with the street value of $2,500, and six marijuana plants worth $9,600. Also seized were controlled pharmaceuticals worth $510, according to police.
