Toledo arson investigators continued their probe into a fire that destroyed an unoccupied house in East Toledo overnight, authorities said today.

There were no injuries, according to the Toledo fire department.

Fire crews arrived at 11:14 p.m. and saw heavy flames coming from the house at 230 Utah St. They doused the flames, bringing the fire under control by 11:31 p.m. The blaze was extinguished by 1:21 a.m., at which time the last fire crew left the scene.

The single-story wood frame house was a total loss. The damage estimate wasn't available.

The Lucas County auditor's Web site lists Timothy Dycus as the owner of the house. It was built in 1925.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation. Authorities were questioning a person who was detained at the scene, according to the department.
