One of two men who apparently attempted to rob a South Toledo convenience store fired one shot at a store clerk before fleeing the store, according to a police incident report.

Police reported that two men went into Express Food Mart, 1419 South Ave., at 11:02 p.m. Tuesday and one ordered the clerk, Khalid Hamdallah, to put his hands up and pointed a gun at the clerk.

The suspect fired one round at the clerk, who ducked behind the counter. The shot was lodged into a wall and the suspects fled the store on foot.

Police who were looking for the suspects found a mask possibly worn by a suspect and a black hooded sweatshirt that might have also been worn by a suspect, according to the report.
