Toledo man, 21, stabbed in beer-pong dispute

A Toledo man was stabbed early Wednesday on the city's east side, apparently during a fight over a game, authorities said.

Toledo police arrested Ernest Tyler, Jr., 27, of Higgins Street and charged him with felonious assault in the stabbing of Antonio Green, 21, of Main Street. A witness said the two men were playing beer pong at the victim's residence in the 800 block of Main about 5:20 a.m. when they got into an argument and started fighting, police said.

The suspect was booked into the Lucas County jail pending arraignment Saturday, according to the Lucas County Sheriff's Office.

The victim was treated for a stab wound to his left shoulder at Mercy St. Charles Hospital, police reported.
