Man killed in Central Avenue crash

Accident happened near Wildwood Preserve Metropark

A Toledo man was killed when his SUV crashed today on Central Avenue near Wildwood Preserve Metropark in Sylvania Township, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

Dennis L. Jaworski, 58, was westbound on Central at about 1:12 p.m. when his vehicle went off the right side of the road, struck a curb, and entered a brushy area of the park, troopers from the patrol's Toledo post said. He was taken to Toledo Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation. Sylvania Township and Ottawa Hills police assisted at the scene, as did metroparks district rangers and Lucas County EMS.
