Officials yet to declare cause of Thanksgiving Day fire that killed Adrian woman

ADRIAN — Officials have yet to declare the cause of a house fire that killed a 95-year-old Adrian woman on Thanksgiving Day.

The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office said Elenora F. Dennis died in the fire at her 7240 Dudley Rd. home, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death.

The fire was reported at 10:20 a.m. Thursday. Firefighters from Cambridge, Adrian, and Madison townships were among those who responded to the blaze. The sheriff’s office, county medical examiner, and state fire marshal are investigating the fire.
