The downtown Huntington Bank at Madison and Huron streets was robbed Tuesday afternoon by a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, authorities said.
The suspect went into the branch at 519 Madison shortly after 4 p.m. and demanded money from an employee. No gun was seen but police said a towel was wrapped around his hand.
He fled on foot with an undetermined amount of money. There were no injuries.
Witnesses described him as a black male, 35 to 40 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches, with freckles on his cheeks.
