Death of man struck by train ruled suicide

TIFFIN — The death of a Tiffin business owner who was struck and killed Monday by a train has been ruled a suicide.

Bradley R. Ehrenfried, 55, walked in front of an eastbound CSX Transportation train near the Clinton Avenue crossing about 6 a.m., said Dr. Mark Akers, Seneca County coroner. Dr. Akers said the train engineer saw Mr. Ehrenfried step onto the tracks.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr. Erhenfried was the owner of Bair Sporting Goods.
