FINDLAY — A Hardin County man suspected of robbing the Marathon gas station in Vanlue Monday morning was arrested later in Findlay.

Charges were pending late Monday against Jeremy Nutt, 37, of Dunkirk.

According to Hancock County sheriff’s deputies, a robber held up the Marathon station about 10:50 a.m. Witnesses said the robber had fled in a maroon-colored 1984 Oldsmobile. Shortly after, deputies saw a vehicle matching that description.

Deputies said the driver did not stop until he abandoned the car in the 900 block of West Sandusky Street then fled on foot. Mr. Nutt was arrested after a short chase.
