Man shot in South Toledo Monday evening

A man was shot Monday in South Toledo, authorities said.

Gary McCadney, 41, whose address wasn't released, was taken to University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo police said. His condition was not immediately available.

The shooting occurred in the 100 block of San Rafael Avenue near Hill Avenue and Richards Road sometime before the incident was reported by police about 5:30 p.m. Monday, according to police.

Police did not say what the motive was.

There was no word of arrests.
