ARCHBOLD, Ohio -- The Ohio Highway Patrol today identified Michael Susanowiz, Jr., of Montpelier, Ohio, as the man who was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Fulton County.

Mr. Susanowiz, 41, the driver, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol's Toledo post. Troopers did not say when or where Mr. Susanowiz was pronounced dead.

The crash occurred about 7:05 p.m. at U.S. 20A just east of County Road 25-2 in German Township, about five miles northwest of Archbold. Mr. Susanowiz was eastbound on U.S. 20A near milepost 2 when he drove off the north side of the road, over-corrected, and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn, the patrol said

Mr. Susanowiz was the only occupant of the sport utility vehicle, which drifted to the left side of the road before going off the right side of the road, overturning, and coming to a rest in a field, troopers said.

Archbold is about 40 miles southwest of Toledo.
