A robbery, police chase, and car crash landed three Toledo men in jail Wednesday night.

Omar Watkins, 25, of 629 Russell St., is charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping, and failure to comply; he is being held in the jail in lieu of $125,000 bond.

Deandre Smith, 19, of 639 Avondale Ave., and Phillip Brown, 22, of 839 Carver Blvd., are charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping. Bond for each man is set at $100,000.

Three men, armed with guns, went into Stop-N-Go, 5013 Bennett Rd., at 7:37 p.m. Wednesday, police said

One man went behind the counter and tried to open the cash registers; he failed and demanded the clerk to open them. While in the store, a customer was forced to the back of the store, according to court documents.

The suspects fled the store, cash in hand, in a black Dodge Magnum. An officer spotted the vehicle at North Detroit Avenue and Pasadena Boulevard. The driver of the Magnum accelerated and led police on a chase before crashing at Bennett and Dryden Drive. The three suspects fled on foot but were soon caught by responding officers, police said.
