A pregnant woman was killed and her husband and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday in Perrysburg Township, authorities said.

Rachel Kominek, 26, of Toledo was pronounced dead at the scene. Mercy Spokesman Sarah Bednarski said a doctor and nurse from Life Flight delivered the baby by emergency cesarean section at the scene. The baby was in critical condition as of early today.

Troopers at the Ohio Highway Patrol's Bowling Green post said a car driven by her husband, Dustin Kominek, 24, was eastbound on U.S. 20 about 5:10 p.m. when he lost control on the snow-covered road at the intersection of Tracy Road. The car's passenger side was struck by a westbound car driven by Melissa Domanowski, 33, of Williston, Ohio.

Ms. Domanowski was in serious condition today at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Ms. Domanowski's passenger, Jillian Sheetz, 34, of Oregon, was treated at Mercy St. Charles Hospital.  Mr. Kominek was treated at St. Luke's Hospital.

All except Mr. Kominek were wearing seat belts.
