Two men accused of robbing a downtown Toledo bank branch Wednesday were arraigned Friday in Toledo Municipal Court.

Anthony Rayford, 46, 3167 N. Detroit Ave., is charged with one count of robbery for his alleged role in the robbery at the Huntington Bank office at 519 Madison Ave.

He was ordered held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

His alleged accomplice, Oscar Banks, 47, of 828 Magnolia St. is charged with three counts of aggravated robbery.

He was ordered to be held in the jail in lieu of $300,000 bond.

Police allege that Banks robbed the downtown Huntington twice: Dec. 4 and Wednesday. Court documents state that, for his alleged role in Wednesday’s robbery, Rayford was given $900.

Banks also is accused of robbing PNC Bank, 405 Madison, on Thursday.

Police allege he entered the bank and threatened to shoot a bank teller before being given $2,600 — the amount police found when he was apprehended a short time later at the Greyhound bus station five blocks away at 811 Jefferson Ave., according to court records.

Both men are to appear in Toledo Municipal Court on Jan. 11 for preliminary hearings.
