A man was arrested and accused of stabbing his girlfriend outside a strip club in South Toledo early today, authorities said.

Tomas Olmo, Jr., 29, of Pontiac, Mich., was charged with felonious assault in the stabbing of Angila Bigelow, 27, also of Pontiac, Toledo police Sgt. Phil Toney said. Mr. Olmo was being held in the Lucas County jail pending arraignment Monday at the Toledo Municipal Court.

Ms. Bigelow was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital, according to the Lucas County EMS. Her condition was not immediately available.

The stabbing occurred about 3:50 a.m. in the parking lot of the Deja Vu Showgirls at 135 S. Byrne Rd., police said.

Sergeant Toney said Mr. Olmo, a club patron, was thrown out of the club and then waited in the parking lot for Ms. Bigelow, a dancer at the club, to finish working.

Once she came out, she got in the car with him and they got into an argument, during which she was stabbed in the leg, Sergeant Toney said.
