A Petersburg, Mich., man was arrested today and charged with the robbery of two different banks over the last week.

Richard Dean King, 53, has been charged with two counts of robbery after Toledo police say he confessed to robbing today the Key Bank at 4106 Talmadge Rd., and Fifth Third Bank, 3355 Secor Rd., on Thursday.

Authorities took Mr. King into custody tonight and say he confessed to the robberies during an interview. He was booked into the Lucas County jail pending a court hearing.

Toledo police say that in both incidents, a white male entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. It was unclear whether the suspect was armed in either incident.

He was arrested by the FBI Northwest Ohio Violent Crimes Task Force after a followup investigation.
