A Petersburg, Mich., man was arrested Monday and charged with the robbery of two different banks over the last week.

Richard Dean King, 53, has been charged with two counts of robbery after Toledo police say he confessed to robbing the Key Bank at 4106 Talmadge Rd., on Monday, and Fifth Third Bank, 3355 Secor Rd., on Thursday.

Authorities say Mr. King confessed to the robberies after his arrest late Monday by the FBI Northwest Ohio Violent Crimes Task Force. He was booked into the Lucas County jail.

Toledo police say that in both incidents, a white male entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. It was unclear whether the suspect was armed in either incident.
