A second person has been arrested for shooting out a window of a Toledo police cruiser last week.

Logan LeComte, 19, of 1211 Starr Ave., is charged with felonious assault and vandalism. He was ordered to be held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond, during a court hearing Tuesday.

Police had initially charged Jonathan Figuero, 20, of the same Starr address, for the crime, but subsequent interviews led to the arrest of Mr. LeComte, who police said "confessed" to having shot out a patrol car window on Jan. 15, while officers were on patrol in East Toledo.

Mr. Figuero's charges will be changed with tampering with evidence and obstructing official business, police said.

Two Toledo police officers were driving in the 1200 block of Starr when officers heard a single shot and the passenger-side window almost simultaneously shattered. The officers, who were not injured, did a U-turn and reported seeing Mr. Figuero running from the scene with a BB gun in one of his hands. Police chased the suspect on foot, but lost sight of him near Platt Street.

The next day, Mr. Figuero was found hiding under a crib at his residence and arrested.
