Police say Toledo teen threatened another teen with a handgun

A 14-year-old Toledo boy accused of threatening another 14-year-old boy with a handgun, was arrested today at his east Toledo residence according to a Toledo police incident report.

The accused was charged with delinquency in connection with aggravated menacing and booked into the Lucas County Juvenile Justice Center pending arraignment. He also faces juvenile charges of carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Monday, he had reportedly showed the gun to the alleged victim, threatening to shoot him, according to police.

On Wednesday, the alleged victim's parents went to Garfield Elementary School, 1103 Ravine Parkway and told school authorities that the accused had posted a message on Facebook indicating that the accused was going to come to Garfield Elementary, where the alleged victim is a student, with a gun, the incident report states.

Police located the accused at his Greenwood Ave. home today, searched his bedroom with a parent's consent, and recovered a 40-caliber semiautomatic handgun, a machete, a pellet gun, drug paraphernalia, and a small amount of marijuana, according to the incident report.
