Fostoria man killed in single-vehicle rollover accident

ARCADIA, Ohio – A Fostoria, Ohio man was killed today when he lost control of his vehicle on a road in Hancock County's Washington Township.

Oscar Pichardo, 38, was transported by air ambulance to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, where he was later pronounced dead, according to Hancock County Sheriff's deputies.

Deputies said Mr. Pichardo was driving south on Township Road 2433, just north of Arcadia, at approximately 6:45 a.m. and went into a ditch, went airborne, and struck some trees. He was thrown from the van and then the vehicle rolled over.

The accident remains under investigation.
