FINDLAY — An autopsy determined a Hancock County jail inmate’s death last month was a suicide.

Dr. Mark Fox, Hancock County coroner, said an autopsy performed by the Lucas County Coroner’s Office showed Thaddeus Campbell, 23, of Findlay died of asphyxiation. He was found dead in his cell just after 3 p.m. Jan. 3. He had been lodged in the jail since Oct. 18.

He served 31 days for violating probation from a petty-theft conviction and remained jailed after being indicted for receiving stolen property, court records show.
