Sixth chop shop ring suspect arrested

The sixth suspect accused of belonging to a tractor trailer theft and chop shop ring was arrested today by federal authorities.

Robert W. Debolt, Jr., 47, was arraigned in U.S. District Court on unlawful transport of stolen goods in interstate commerce. He is being held without bond in the Lucas County jail.

Michael Wymer, 54, and Gary Wymer, 55, Michael Deutsch, 37, Terry Wymer, Jr., 28, and Shawn Wymer, 27, were arrested Thursday following FBI raids at 2322 Consaul St., and two locations on Sterling Street in central Toledo.

The men are accused of stealing trucks rigs and their cargos and transporting the vehicles to Toledo, where the rigs and cargos were dismantled, concealed, or altered.

All six men are expected to return to court  Tuesday for detention hearings.
