Suspect in theft at eatery in Michigan still wanted

TIPTON, Mich. — The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for the person responsible for a break-in and theft of cash from a restaurant in Franklin Township last month.

Deputies said they responded to an alarm at 3:09 a.m. Jan. 28 at the Cruise Inn, 6400 West U.S. 12, and found a door to the restaurant had been pried open.

A surveillance video showed a white man or teenager entering the building, going to the bar area, and taking an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing.

Footprints showed he left through the door and entered a vehicle, reports state.

The suspect is described by authorities as being of medium build. He wore dark frame glasses and a bandanna covered his face.
