BOWLING GREEN -- A Findlay man was hurt in a single-vehicle crash that temporarily shut down the northbound and southbound lanes of I-75 near Bowling Green, the Ohio Highway Patrol said today.

David P. Barnd Jr., 47, was driving north on I-75 at 7:06 a.m. when he went off the left side of the roadway in Center Township and into the median. Mr. Barnd’s vehicle overturned several times before coming to rest in the southbound lanes. Mr. Barnd was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, troopers said.

He was flown by helicopter to the University of Toledo Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition. The accident remains under investigation and alcohol/drugs are suspected to be a factor.
