Lucas County deputy accused of running light

A Lucas County sheriff’s deputy was cited for a red-light violation Wednesday on accusations she ran a light and her cruiser struck two vehicles on Douglas Road.

Sgt. Molly Mason was northbound on Douglas at 9:17 a.m. when she didn’t notice the light at Berdan Avenue had turned red, according to a Toledo police report. She collided with a westbound vehicle on Berdan. Her cruiser then struck a vehicle that was stopped at the light in the southbound lane of Douglas.
