FINDLAY -- A minivan was struck by a tractor-trailer and dragged onto a ramp today in Hancock County's Jackson Township, trapping the minivan driver inside as the semi drove away.

Sheriff's deputies said Lori Myers, 44, of Arlington, Ohio, was northbound on U.S. 68 just after noon when her minivan was struck. The semi did not stop as it dragged the vehicle onto the ramp to eastbound State Rt. 15. The minivan came to rest after what deputies said was a "lengthy distance." The semi continued east on Route 15.

Ms. Myers was extricated from her vehicle, taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital and transferred to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. A hospital spokesman said there was no information about a patient by that name.

Deputies are asking anyone with information about the semi to call the sheriff's office.

The crash occurred just south of Findlay, which is about 45 miles south of Toledo.
