TEMPERANCE — A dispute between a Temperance man and his stepson resulted in several shots being fired, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday. There were no reports of injuries from gunfire.

On Saturday in the 10000 block of Lewis Avenue in Bedford Township, an argument broke out between the two family members. Investigation by the department showed that a 68-year-old man argued with his 42-year-old stepson and pulled a handgun. The men struggled for control of the gun, and it discharged several times.

The 68-year-old man was released from custody, pending the issuance of an arrest warrant.
