MONROE -- A Frenchtown Township woman was killed when she walked into the path of a vehicle on Telegraph Road on Monday night.

The Michigan State Police reported Tamera Anne Rodak, 34, of Frenchtown Township, entered Telegraph Road near Buhl Road and walked into the path of a northbound vehicle, which struck and killed her instantly just after 7 p.m. Monday.

Authorities said the driver remained at the scene, which occurred in front of the mobile home village Kimberly Estates, and cooperated with the investigation. The driver did not contribute to the crash, and it appears could not have done anything to avoid it, authorities said.

The Monroe post of the Michigan State Police conducted the investigation at the scene, and asks for witnesses or those with information about the crash to contact the post at 734-242-3500.
