Woman in critical condition after Monroe Township crash

A Flat Rock, Mich. woman remains in critical condition today at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center following a single-car crash Saturday evening in Monroe Township. 

Autumn M. Lujan, 20, was driving southbound on Telegraph Road north of South Custer Road when for unknown reason she traveled off the roadway to the right (west), drove over a curb and struck a utility pole, according to the Monroe County Sheriff. She was not wearing a seatbelt but both airbags in the 1995 Mercury Sable deployed.

Ms. Lujan suffered multiple injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Monroe. She was airlifted to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition. 

The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
