Man injured after car crashes into Point Place home

A Toledo man was injured when his vehicle crashed into a Point Place house early today, police said.

The crash in the 2500 block of Melva Court was reported about 2:50 a.m. The driver, Craig Lake, 24, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. A hospital spokesman had no information about a patient by that name. His injuries did not appear to be serious, said Sgt. Joe Heffernan, Toledo police spokesman. A female passenger was not injured.

Mr. Lake was cited in connection with the crash.

The extent of damage to the house was not reported.
