At least one in custody after Toledo police response to report of domestic violence ends in chase

At least one person was in custody late toay after a pursuit that took Toledo police from the south end to the east side for more than 30 minutes.

Police were responding to a report of domestic violence near Hill Avenue and Byrne Road about 9:45 p.m. when a suspect drove off, authorities said. Police followed through South Toledo, West Toledo, and North Toledo.

Several Toledo squad cars eventually joined in. An Ohio Highway Patrol vehicle was along to prevent the suspect vehicle from entering an interstate, authorities said.

A person was taken into custody about 10:20 p.m. at the Ravine Park Village complex in East Toledo. Police called for an ambulance, but the extent of injury was not reported.
