Autopsy reveals homicide victim shot five times

The city's most recent homicide victim, Antonio Watson, was shot five times, an autopsy performed today shows.

Mr. Watson, 30, was shot once in his head, and twice in both his chest and abdomen, said Dr. Cynthia Beisser, a Lucas County deputy coroner.

His death is being investigated as a homicide; an official ruling is pending toxicology results.

Police responding to a unit at the Westland Gardens Apartments on Fielding Avenue, off of Dorr Street, found Mr. Watson lying in a hallway at about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday.

No charges have been filed.
