FINDLAY -- Two Detroit women are being held in the Hancock County jail after state troopers found drugs in their vehicle, officials said.
Mahogany Dean, 37, and Tiffany Lindsey, 47, are being held in lieu of $30,000 bond on one count each of drug abuse.
The women were driving on I-75 at 12:45 a.m. Friday when they were stopped by troopers for a marked lanes and speeding violation, troopers reported. During the stop, troopers said they saw marijuana in the car and, during a search of the car, found a magnetic box inside with 989 oxycodone pills, worth an estimated $18,000.
If the women are convicted, each could face up to 21.5 years in prison and up to a $25,000 fine.
The women are to return to Findlay Municipal Court on Thursday because their arraignments were continued.
