Police search for man who attempted to lure girl, 7

Toledo police are looking for a man who tried to lure a 7-year-old girl into a vehicle in South Toledo, authorities said today.

The girl was sitting on a porch of a house in the 5800 block of Thunder Hollow Drive about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when a black Dodge pickup truck rolled by slowly, Toledo police said. A passenger in the back seat of the vehicle then told the girl he had candy and a puppy for her, at which time the girl ran in the house and alerted her parents, who called police, officers wrote in an unusual incident report.

The pickup truck had Ohio license plates, number 810YHM.
