Safety City program returns June 10-14

The City of Sylvania Police Department will host Sylvania Safety City next week to teach children entering kindergarten in the Sylvania school district about safety on the streets.

Children will learn about stranger danger, pedestrian safety, fire safety, crossing railroad tracks, and more at the week-long program June 10-14 at Maplewood Elementary School, 6769 Maplewood Ave.

Sylvania City Schools teachers, Sylvania Township firefighters, and police department members will interact with toddlers during the course, along with special guest speakers.
