9 men arrested after 2 prostitution stings
6/15/2013The Wood County Sheriff's Office has arrested nine men in two prostitution sting operations.
Arrested on misdemeanor charges of soliciting prostitution were: Al Jay Roberts, 45, of Warner Robins, Ga.; Michael B. Craker, 52, of Corry, Pa.; Carl E. Dotson, 45, of Defiance; Arquipo Rivera Jr., 56, of New Britain, Conn.; Salu Joseph, 49, of Maumee; Andrew J. Miller, 26, of Toledo; Robert R. Teachout of Maumee; Nathan Hinkle, 28, of Lima, and Trent Hyetr, 45, of Grafton, Ohio.
The most recent sting operation took place on Wednesday night at a motel in northern Wood County, according to authorities. Mr. Joseph, Mr. Miller, Mr. Teachout, Mr. Hinkle and Mr. Hyetr were arrested during that operation. All five men will appear in Perrysburg Municipal Court. Court dates were unavailable.
The first sting operation took place in late May at Wood County area truck stops, according to the Wood County Sheriff's Office. Mr. Roberts, Mr. Craker, Mr. Dotson, and Mr. Rivera were arrested during that incident. Mr. Craker and Mr. Rivera have since resolved their cases in Perrysburg Municipal Court, while Mr. Dotson is scheduled for a jury trial Sept. 11. Mr. Roberts’ case was resolved in Bowling Green Municipal Court.
Both operations were completed with assistance from the Lake Township Police Department and the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
