West Toledo shooting death investigated

Toledo police are investigating the death of Frederick D. Watson, Jr., 20, who was shot at the intersection of Avondale Avenue and Brown Avenue in West Toledo today.

Mr. Watson was found slumped between the passenger and driver seat of a vehicle after police responded to a call of shots fired at 4:55 a.m. He was transported to Toledo Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A police report said two possible witnesses were interviewed at the scene.
