TEMPERANCE -- Two masked men, armed with a kitchen-style knife and a "large jagged rock," robbed a Bedford Township pizza shop early today.

The robbery at Vito's Pizza and Subs, 7321 Lewis Ave., was reported at about midnight.

An employee told deputies from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office that the two suspects came into the restaurant at about 11:55 p.m. through a back door after a delivery driver left with an order.

The knife-wielding suspect demanded that the lone employee, who was cleaning, preparing to close, hand over cash.

At knife point, the suspects forced the clerk to take money from the register; the men then fled out of the back door.

Both suspects were wearing dark-colored clothing and wore black clothes over their faces, deputies said. The man with the knife is white; the man with the rock is black. No additional descriptions were made available.

Deputies ask that anyone with information about the crime call the Monroe County Sheriff's detective bureau at 734-240-7530.
