A Los Angeles man was indicted Wednesday by a Lucas County grand jury on four counts of felonious assault for allegedly shooting a bouncer at a downtown Toledo nightclub.

Gregory Burgess, 23, is accused of shooting Miguel Garcia, 22, in the ankle after getting out of a vehicle and shooting into a rowdy crowd gathered in front of Club Ellyzees, 319 N. Superior St., shortly after 3:30 a.m. June 9.

An off-duty Toledo police officer working at the club reportedly witnessed the shooting, authorities said.
